The Who's TOMMY at the Barn Theatre, 2009
I've heard a lot about the Quartet; how can I hire them for my show?
We'd love to hear from you; contact us and give as many specifics as possible (theatre location, what show, show dates and times, rehearsal dates and times, pay scale, etc..) and we will check our schedules and get back with you. Due to booking (and coordinating four schedules), the more lead time you can provide, the better.
What is the additional fee for hiring the Quartet?
There is none; the standard fees that you are budgeted for hiring musicians will still apply. Hiring JMQ as a group is more of a service to the music director, ensuring that their rhythm section will be the utmost in talent and professionalism.
Do we have to hire the entire Quartet?
Absolutely not. While it is a bonus to have the Quartet in "full force," there is no requirement.
If you can't do a show, can you help me find someone who can?
Word of mouth recommendations can be inconsistent. You are only as good as the person who you recommend. Any musician that we would recommend has proven to be of the same caliber as ourselves; technically, but more importantly, professionally.
This, however, is not a guarantee that we can find you someone; we can only offer recommendations. Due to having five performing theatres in town (not to mention two universities), the people we would recommend may already have prior engagements.
Are there any other services the Quartet offers?
In addition to keyboards, Courtney is also a very accomplished music director in the area, as well as northern Indiana.
Having been the orchestral contractor at the Barn Theatre in Augusta, MI for the past 14 years has given Troy an immense amount of knowledge and firsthand experience with many of the local talent.
Jon is also a freelance graphic designer (you're looking at one of his portfolio pieces), and can design whatever you need.
Are there any group affiliations or endorsements?
All of the Quartet are members of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 228.
Jon and Troy are also members of ASCAP.
Jon is a Warwick Endorsing Artist.
No additional endorsements as of yet. However, all four would be interested in talking with companies in regards to endorsements.
